JULE Presents: An evening with Winstead CEO Denis Braham- Superbowl playmaker!

Please join us at 7:00 pm on Monday, May 10th for a unique opportunity to hear from Winstead CEO Denis Braham about “How to Succeed in Life and Law”

Denis Braham, one of LawDragon’s “100 Managing Partners You Need to Know,” is the CEO of Winstead, one of the largest business law firms in Texas. An attorney with Winstead since 1989, Mr. Braham provides counsel to prominent real estate and sports clients such as the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans. His work includes helping the City of Houston bring back an NFL franchise, build Reliant Stadium and secure one of the most lucrative naming rights deals for the stadium of its time. His strong background in new stadium development and financing was key in assisting the Dallas Cowboys through their new stadium process and he led the team of attorneys instrumental in coordinating the successful bids for other major events in Texas, including the 2010 NBA All-Star Game and the 2014 NCAA Men’s Final Four, which will be played in the Dallas Cowboys new stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Importantly, though, Mr. Braham’s successful career hasn’t held him back from being an active member of the community. He has served as General Counsel Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Houston YET Center, Inc. and as a board member for University of Houston Law Foundation, University of Texas Medical School at Houston Advisory Council, Greater Houston Partnership and University of Texas Health Science Center Development Board. He’s also served as Treasurer and Trustee for the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston and President of the National Council for Soviet Jewry, among other prominent positions with Jewish organizations. He’s met with several American Presidents and Israeli Prime Ministers, and he generously volunteers his time for a variety of causes. Beyond all that, he and his wife (whom he’s been with since they met in Israel after graduating from high school) have raised a successful and loving family that regularly gets together with their aunts, uncles, cousins and others to enjoy Shabbat, holidays, weddings, and other important occasions.

How does he accomplish all of this?? How can you too succeed in life and law?

January 22nd. 12-1:30 pm   CLE Ethics Lunch at The Intown Chabad 2723 Routh st.

Ethical Legal Representation in a Quasi-Constitutional System

Although supplemented by ethics committee rulings, formal rules of procedure and various other state and federal laws, many of the duties an American lawyer owes to his clients and to the court fundamentally arise out of rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution. By comparing customs of legal practice in Israel (a country without a formal, written constitution) and the United States, panelists will use real-world scenarios to examine how protections granted by the Constitution impact the obligations of a lawyer.

Accredited for 1.00 hours in Texas (Ethics), California (General) and New York (Pract Mgmt).

Lunch and CLE $18 at door
